Follow the instructions below to set up OysterVPN manually with OpenVPN using Linux Terminal.
- 1Open the Terminal/Console and run this command Sudo apt-get install network-manager-OpenVPN.
- 2Now pressEnterafter typing the command.
- 3EnterYto confirm the installation.
- 4Download the OysterVPN OpenVPN configuration files fromhere.
- 5Extract the downloaded config files folder from yourDownloadsfolder.
- 6Right-click on your Network Connection icon and select “Configure Network Connections” from the drop-down menu.
- 7Click on the+ sign.
- 8Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Create” after selectingImport VPN Connection.
- 9Go to yourDownloadsfolder, where you have extracted the TCP and UDP files.
- 10Open any folders, TCP, or UDP, depending on which OpenVPN protocol you want to use.
- 11Now double-click on the VPN server file you want to use, and select “Yes” in this example.
- 12Type yourOysterVPNusername and password in the relevant fields. Then clickOK.
- 13ClickConnect in your Network Connections to connect to the VPN profile you just created.
